Abstract of Seminar Contents:
State agencies are increasingly embracing public and private cloud computing environments. Cloud computing is very different from physical or virtual servers which translates into a different cybersecurity model. These differences lead to a variety of security concerns for agencies as they struggle with limited resources. Join us for an informational session that will help us think about how we can address the security challenges we are all facing. The WA State Office of Cyber Security will share current security standards, what they are doing to help agencies and what is needed to bridge the security gap in the cloud.
Presenters will share what industry is doing to help with new and emerging technology. Moreover, we’ll conclude with a panel discussion for Q&A.
State & local government communities of interest in IT and business: IT leaders; executive management; agency business leaders, CISO’s, security, operations, and development staff.
What Attendees Will Learn:
Participants will walk away with a better understanding of what is available, what is needed for WA state agencies and what is over the horizon regarding cloud security.
